Onsite Physical and Chemical Laboratory

Introduction

To meet the needs of different production lines located within the Baoshan major base of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. for testing chemical composition, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance of steel tubes, pipes and bars, the onsite physical and chemical properties laboratory (affiliated to the Testing, Analysis and Inspection Center of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.) was established, equipped with conventional testing equipment for tensile, impact, flattening, hardness, metallographic phase, HIS corrosion resistance and spectroscopy as well as sample processing equipment such as drilling machines, lathes, sawing machines, grinding machines, and polishing machines. Information regarding trial batches (samples) from production lines as well as final testing results from the laboratory is subject to the full-process tracking management via the computer-based management system. The onsite physical and chemical laboratory has obtained the Laboratory Qualification Certification from China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment.
