Product Certification
To constantly improve its management and technological levels and provide users with better products and services, Baosteel's Tube, Pipe and Bar Business Unit has been make improvements in terms of equipment, management and technology and has therefore obtained accreditation and certification from international and domestic associations or organizations. For example, in July, 2008, it has obtained the special equipment manufacture license for components for pressure pipelines from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine o of the People's Republic of China. It has also obtained a license from American Petroleum Institute (API) to use the 5CT, 5D and 5L marks for its tubings and casings, drill pipes, and line pipes; its pipes and tubes for ship have been accredited by classification societies of several countries.
